HOW IT WORKS

How does an AI generate YouTube video chapters?

Generating a video's chapters with ClipHit takes four steps: upload the file, the AI transcribes the whole recording and detects where the topic actually changes, builds consecutive chapters that cover the whole video with no gaps, starting at 00:00. You then edit any title and copy it into the YouTube description.

  1. 01

    Upload the file

MP4, MOV, WebM, AVI, or audio on its own in MP3, M4A, WAV, AAC. The file can run as long as it needs to: what counts against your plan is minutes.

  2. 02

    It gets transcribed in full

The AI reads the full transcript to find where the topic genuinely changes, not every fixed number of minutes.

  3. 03

    The chapters get built

Consecutive and with no gaps: the first starts at 00:00 and the last ends where the video ends, with no uncovered stretch in between.

  4. 04

You edit the titles and copy them

Each chapter title edits in place, and the whole list copies ready to paste into the YouTube description.

THE CHAPTERS, INSIDE CLIPHIT

From second zero to the end, no gaps.

The chapter list edits right there, timestamp on the left and editable title on the right, ready to copy exactly the way YouTube asks for it.

WHY IT COMES OUT WELL

No gaps between chapters

YouTube requires the first chapter to start at 00:00 and no stretch of the video to go uncovered. The AI builds the list following that rule, not an approximation you have to fix by hand.

Splits by topic, not a fixed minute mark

Chapters change where the conversation's topic genuinely changes, not every five or ten exact minutes the way a mechanical split would.

Edit the title without touching the time

If a title doesn't land, you rewrite it right there without affecting the timestamp, which is already placed correctly.

FROM THE SAME VIDEO

The chapters aren't the only piece that comes out of the video.

The same upload gives you the vertical clips, the blog post, the X thread, the LinkedIn post, the newsletter and the Instagram carousel.
